Dennis and I are doing pretty well with our traveling plans this time.  We did a lot of homework - I looked at maps and calculated distances and noted places of interest and Dennis looked up places near each of our selected "staying" locations.  We have heard from so many people that Maine and the other northeastern states are so beautiful - we are really excited to start.  Our previous trips have taught us some things about packing: don't over-pack; do take the stuff you really need (camera and laptop and maps); smart phones are great tools for finding an exact location; do take the side trips to see that special location (I have a waterfall in mind this time).

Our first day will be our longest drive.  We want to reach Seneca Falls by evening.  Since we are not departing on a weekday, we will leave early but not insanely early to cross the Blue Water Bridge into Canada.  We will cross back into the U.S. at Niagara Falls, so our new passports will get a double use right off the bat!  The lists are in the formation stage and I am trying to empty the fridge to get ready.
